Advocacy is a powerful force in content marketing and CommSec were looking to leverage this with a testimonial TVC featuring a real CommSec customer, “Richard”, telling his story.
One of the main challenges in creating customer testimonials is delivering authenticity while staying “on-message”. Another is working with people with no experience in front of a film crew.
With just one day to shoot in eight locations around Sydney, we knew we were going to be busy come shoot day, which could put pressure on the talent and risk the outcome. So we invested time and energy in getting to know our subject before cameras rolled, to make sure he was clear on what we were doing and familiar enough with us to feel he was in safe hands.
The result speaks for itself, with the authenticity we were aiming for evident in every frame.
